What is your facility’s maximum capacity?
• We have a maximum of 30 residents
• Outpatient groups are a maximum of 9 clients
• Sober Living upon assessment, when available
What is your fee schedule?
We work with individuals on a case by case basis. We offer a 30-90 day intensive
residential program. Rates are all inclusive of room and board, activities,
groups and individual counseling.
The 16 week Outpatient Program includes:
• 32 Group Sessions (90 minutes)
• 5 One-on-One Sessions (1 hour)
• Prior to service a deposit to cover drug testing is required and may
be refunded if not necessary

What credentials does your staff hold?
All of our staff members are professionals in their designated fields. Our
counselors are credentialed as Certified Addiction Specialists I & II
(CAS). Additionally, each staff member is trained in CPR, first aid and basic
lifesaving techniques to further ensure the safety of our clients.
What does treatment involve?
We design each treatment plan to fit the needs of the individual client, focusing
on the issues relevant to each woman entering our facility. Our agency uses
the latest treatment material from Hazelden Foundation and LIB (Living in
Balance) which encompasses support of the total woman. We provide a foundation
in the principles of the twelve-step approach, including a step workshop
and twelve-step meetings in the local community. Click

Do you have a doctor on the premises?
Dr. John Harsany, specializing in addictionology, is our Medical Director and
Dr. James Keating is our Associate Medical Director; Dr. Patrick MacAfee,
a licensed clinical psychologist, is our Director of Clinical Training; all
medical staff is available in an on-call basis.
What about meals?
La Vista provides a family atmosphere at all levels which means meals are
planned, prepared and served and shared in a family-like setting. Everyone
takes part in all aspects of daily living. Other than severe dietary restrictions
imposed by a physician, everyone’s meals are the same.
What about exercise?
Group exercise is conducted twice per day followed by a walking routine on
the beautiful grounds of our facility. A treadmill is available for use by
our clients.
What about visiting?
• Our 10 day no-contact policy allows a client to become quiet and centered
without outside distraction. This creates the foundation upon which she will
build her new life in recovery.

The last Sunday of each month is designated “family day” to provide
our clients with the opportunity to see their loved ones and begin the healing
process while in treatment. A visitor orientation is required. It is necessary
to call our office to schedule visitation.

Clients’ children, 15 and under, may be eligible for a bi-weekly 2
hour visit. No child care provisions are available at La Vista.
Am I able to leave the facility?
We request that each client handle any business or medical issues prior to
entering La Vista. We will respect a client’s Right To Worship.
Unforeseen medical or business appointments will be reviewed and arranged
on an individual basis and will be supported by a senior resident or staff
member.
Can I smoke at La Vista?
Although La Vista is a non-smoking facility for staff, clients are allowed
to smoke in a designated area at specific intervals during the day.
Can I come to La Vista if I am pregnant?
We offer a perinatal program for our expectant mothers. Since the inception
of this program in 1992 there have been 65 babies born to mothers who come
to La Vista for help with their addictions. It is a miracle to see a mother
helping herself so her baby can have the opportunity to live a healthy life.
This program teaches in-depth parenting, nutrition classes, alcohol/drug
education, classes in Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and life-coping skills.
Is there an age restriction for your program?
We welcome any woman age 18-90+ regardless of ethnicity who has a desire to
help herself recovery from alcohol and/or drug addiction. We are extremely
happy to welcome mature women age 50+ and offer a mature woman- specific specialized
curriculum and schedule to fit their needs.
Do I get my own room?
Isolation is a deterrent to healthy recovery; therefore, all accommodations
are shared.
Can I use my cell phone or other communication device?
Focus on personal growth and quality recovery can be interrupted by the use
of cell phones and other communications devices; therefore, these items
are not allowed.
Can I bring my car?
Due to the lack of parking space and liability issues no client vehicles
are allowed on site.
